Las Lobas Del Ring

Mexican soap opera/melodrama done by the country’s main exponent of exploitation, Rene Cardona Sr, basically answers the long-unanswered question: what would it be like if wrestling’s storylines were real? Exactly. When some savvy producers decide to hold a tournament for women wrestlers, they come from all over the country to fight for the price of one million dollars. Of course, the babyfaces and the heels each make up a team, the heels being composed of women who date murderers and underground criminals, while the babyfaces are dedicated to each other, their friendship, and plan on sharing the prize.

There’s not much else to say about this. The storyline is entertaining and a lot of the women are very beautiful, particularly the tall American one. I wish I could have seen more female masked wrestlers, but there’s only one. I have a masked wrestler fetish, I suspect. There are some very nice and realistic wrestling matches, which I really liked. This is a good movie for both drama and wrestling fans. It might not be The Wrestler, but it’s still damn good.
